If you prefer to install the plugin yourself, download a ZIP that is already paired to your site and upload it through wp-admin.
Steps
- In the Connect wizard’s Install plugin step, choose Download ZIP and save the file.
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Choose the downloaded ZIP, click Install Now, then Activate.
- Return to the dashboard – the site pairs automatically once the plugin is active.
Alternatively, unzip the file and drop the folder into wp-content/plugins/, then activate it from the Plugins screen.
The ZIP is unique to this site. If you reopen the wizard later, Backvera rotates the connection key for security and any previously downloaded ZIP stops working – download a fresh one. If your copy is no longer paired, you can pair manually with a connection key.
