For a single site you care about. Daily backups, partial restores, clones to another site or host.
Most security plugins scan from inside the site they protect. They share its server, stop at its time limits, and run next to the malware they are looking for. Security plans scan the copy of your site that is already in the Backvera Cloud.
No load on your site
Scans run on Backvera's servers against your backups, so your host does no extra work and your pages load as fast as before. Malware on the site can't hide files from the scan or switch it off.
Checked against the official release
WordPress core and every plugin and theme from WordPress.org are compared, file by file, with the release you run. Changed files and code that belongs to no release are flagged, and so are plugin versions found to ship with a backdoor.
Malware rules, kept current
Your files are matched against rules for backdoors, web shells, spam injections and malicious redirects. We follow live injection campaigns across the web and write new rules from what we find.
The database, too

What counts as a "site"?
A "site" is one WordPress install, with its own hostname, wp-content folder and database. A WordPress Multisite network counts as a single site, no matter how many subsites it runs.
Is there a free tier?
Yes. Free gets weekly backups, 1 GB of storage, 30-day retention, and full-site restore. Good for a personal site or a low-traffic blog. Every workspace also gets a 14-day trial where every site can run on any plan with no card required. When the trial ends, any site without a paid plan moves to Free and keeps backing up weekly.
What do the Security plans add?
Security scanning, on top of everything in the backup plan. Your backups are checked for malware, compared file by file with the official WordPress releases, and searched for rogue admin accounts and hidden scripts in the database. The scans run on Backvera's servers, so your site does no extra work. Storage, retention and restores don't change: Security Business includes everything in Business.
What happens when a threat is found?
Once a Backvera security analyst confirms it, the site is marked in your Sites list and its Security tab shows the file or database entry and the first backup that contained it. From there you can restore that file, or the whole site, from a backup taken before it appeared.
How does buying multiple sites work?
One subscription per site. You can buy any quantity in a single checkout, and the licences go into your workspace pool, ready to assign to sites whenever you like.
Can I store a copy off-site in my own storage?
Yes, on Business and Scale. You connect a destination you own (S3, S3-compatible, Google Drive, Dropbox, SFTP…) and Backvera writes a secondary copy there in addition to the Backvera Cloud. You hold the credentials; we never touch the storage account beyond what you've scoped for us, and you can revoke access any time.
What happens at storage cap?
We alert you at 80% and again at 100%. Backups keep running past the cap. You can prune older restore points, or move to the next tier.
Refund policy?
We don't offer refunds. Instead, every workspace gets a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, so you can run any plan on any site before you pay a cent. Cancel any time after that and the subscription keeps providing access until the end of the current period.
