Reset or change your password

You can change your password any time while you are signed in, or reset it from the login screen if you have forgotten it.

Change your password

If you know your current password and just want a new one:

  1. Go to Settings > Security and choose Change password.
  2. Enter your current password, then a new password – at least 8 characters, and different from the current one.
  3. Save. We email you a confirmation that your password changed.

For your security, changing your password signs you out everywhere else.

Reset a forgotten password

  1. On the login page, click Forgot password? and enter your email.
  2. If an account exists for that address, we send a reset link. The link expires in 1 hour.
  3. Open the link and set a new password (at least 8 characters).

For your security, resetting your password signs you out everywhere else – so if you are resetting because you think someone else had access, every other session ends.

You only sign in with Google, GitHub, or Microsoft?

If you created your account with a social login and never set a password, use Forgot password? with your account email to set one. After that, you can sign in with either your password or your social account.

Keep your account secure

Use a strong, unique password, and turn on two-factor authentication for an extra layer of protection. You can review your recent sign-ins under Settings > Security.
