Restore Your Site Without Taking It Down

The restore is prepared on an off-host worker, so your site keeps serving visitors while Backvera works — then files and database go into place.

Most backups are all-or-nothing. This one isn’t.

A bad plugin update or a deleted page does not need the whole site rolled back to yesterday, losing everything that happened since.

No downtime

The restore is prepared on an off-host worker, so your site keeps serving visitors while it runs.

Specific files and folders

Tick only what you want back. Everything you select is restored together in a single job.

Or specific database tables

Put back one table without touching the rest of the database.

Dry run

Preview exactly which files and tables a restore would touch, without writing anything.

Safety backup

Optionally capture a clean, consistent copy of the site as it was just beforehand. It is off by default — turn it on before you confirm.

Or take the ZIP

Download a backup as a ZIP whenever you want, and keep your own copy.

How it works

Whole site every file and table One file or one directory One table database only A single row one product, or one order A dry run previews what would change

1. Pick a snapshot

From History, from Quick restore points, or straight off the Restore screen.

2. Choose the scope

Full restore, clone to a different location, or partial — specific files, folders and tables.

3. Dry run it

Preview exactly which files and tables would be touched, without writing anything.

4. Confirm

Review the summary and run it. Caches are cleared automatically afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Does my site go down during a restore?

No. The restore is prepared on an off-host worker, so your site keeps serving visitors while Backvera works, and then files and database are put into place.

My site is broken and I have no backup. Can you help?

Not retroactively — a restore needs a snapshot that already exists. What you can do today is start the free plan, so the next time this happens you have one waiting. It costs nothing.

Can I restore only part of the site?

Yes. Tick the files and folders you want, and the database tables you want. Everything you select is restored together in a single job.

Can I see what a restore would change first?

Yes. A dry run previews exactly which files and tables a restore would touch, without writing anything.

What is Delete extras?

An advanced option that removes files which are not in your snapshot, reverting plugins and themes added since the backup. It is destructive, so run a dry run before using it.

What if my host is down?

Your snapshots do not go down with it. Every copy lives off-site, so you can restore to another location.
